Shanghai International Maker Competition Expands to Northern Europe, Calling for Global Maker Teams' Participation
In its quest to foster global innovation and collaboration, the Shanghai International Maker Competition has extended its reach to Northern Europe. The competition, slated to take place in Shanghai, Beijing, and abroad, has officially announced its call for outstanding overseas maker teams to participate in the upcoming event.
To ensure the selection of high-quality maker teams and projects, a comprehensive lineup of activities has been organized. These include roadshows, information sessions, and display of technology exhibitions, providing ample opportunities for promising teams to showcase their innovative ideas. Exceptional projects will have the chance to participate in the semi-final roadshows, with finalist projects receiving exclusive soft landing prizes, including resources connection and other essential landing services upon their travel stipend in Shanghai.
This September, the 2023 Shanghai International Maker Competition has launched its announcement and activities in the Nordic region. To promote the competition and encourage participation, a designated ambassador will visit renowned academic institutions such as the IT University of Copenhagen, Danish Technological Institute, Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, Danish-Chinese Business Forum, and the Copenhagen Institute for Future Studies. The ambassador will effectively convey competition information, extend invitations to maker teams, and warmly welcome both maker teams and entrepreneurs to congregate in Shanghai.
Furthermore, the competition has arranged special roadshows at prominent platforms, including the Copenhagen Health Tech Hub, the Embassy of Iceland in Copenhagen Reception, and the Medicon Valley. These roadshows aim to attract exceptional maker teams and identify promising projects within the region.
In a show of its commitment to fostering international exchange and collaboration, the competition will also partake in TECHBBQ, the largest gathering of makers in Northern Europe.
