1.Entry Requirements
(1) The competition is mainly aimed at global maker teams and start-ups:
1. Maker team: an excellent maker team that has not yet registered and established an enterprise in Shanghai, including enterprises in other provinces and cities and overseas enterprises;
2. Start-ups: have registered in Shanghai, but the registration time is later than January 2022, 1; The company registered in Shanghai was earlier than January 1, 2022, but it has not applied for the "Innovation in Shanghai" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition;
In the evaluation process, the evaluation indicators set for maker teams and start-ups are different, so as to evaluate the quality of projects more scientifically and reasonably; Each category will take into account each category in the process of selecting the promotion/award quota.
(2) Competition area and track
The competition will set up three competition areas in Shanghai, Beijing and overseas, as well as four tracks of biomedicine, artificial intelligence/digitalization, green and low-carbon and comprehensive innovation, and only one track can be selected for the same project.
(3) Form of submission
The entries are original and do not infringe the intellectual property rights of third parties, including but not limited to business plans, design drawings, videos, manuscripts, product demos, etc.
2.Competition Schedule
The competition schedule is divided into project registration, preliminary round evaluation, semi-final roadshow, and international maker carnival (acceleration camp, final roadshow and award ceremony).
(1) Project solicitation and registration
Online registration can be made through the official website of the Shanghai International Maker Competition (shanghaimakers.org.cn) or the WeChat public account "Shanghai International Maker Competition".
l Registration time: August 2023, 8 to September 20, 9 20:23.
(2) Preliminary round evaluation
The final number of valid project registrations is determined through basic data screening and telephone confirmation, and the competition organizing committee invites judges and experts to conduct centralized evaluation and scoring of the registration materials, and 80 projects shortlisted for the rematch are screened out by the competition.
l Preliminary round time: late September 2023.
(3) Rematch Roadshow
From 80 projects, 20 projects will be selected to advance to the finals, and the rematch will be set up in three competition areas in Beijing, Shanghai and overseas, and will organize three industrial thematic competitions and a comprehensive innovation competition in conjunction with large enterprises in the three industries of biomedicine, artificial intelligence and green and low-carbon.
l Semi-finals: mid-October
(4) Final and International Maker Carnival
The finals and international maker carnival include the final project roadshow, maker acceleration camp, maker theme forum, award ceremony, etc.
l Final time: mid-to-early November
3.Award setting
This year's competition has cash prizes and supporting support, and all finalist projects will have awards. Cash rewards and supporting policies are set as follows:
(1) Prize money for the competition

(2) Project soft landing bonus
In addition to the Shanghai Division, if the core members of the winning enterprises are invited by the Organizing Committee of the Competition to participate in the finals of the Maker Competition and the inspection and exchange, the Organizing Committee of the Competition will reward them for their travel expenses to Shanghai. For enterprises that are interested in landing and have practical landing needs, the organizing committee of the competition can assist the enterprises to land, apply for relevant policy subsidies, and give priority support to government funding. According to the enterprise attributes and industry track, through the competition docking service platform, enjoy entrepreneurial training, management consulting, mentor guidance, patent application, innovation resource sharing, and talent recruitment and other supporting services.
(3) Maker Bó Lè Award
The Maker Bó Lè Award refers to the main person in charge of an individual, enterprise or community organization that recommends projects for the International Maker Competition.
Maker Bó Lè Award: The recommended project wins the first, second and third prizes of the competition, 2000 yuan / person (if multiple recommended projects are awarded, the Bó Lè Award will only be awarded once).
(4) Supporting support
1. Venue support: The winning projects that enter the finals and land in Shanghai will receive rent reductions, which will be negotiated and implemented by the competition organizing committee, event partners and outstanding projects;
2. Cooperation support of large enterprises: For the excellent projects of the competition, you will get one-on-one communication opportunities with large enterprises in related industries, and further obtain special support from large enterprises.
3. R&D support: for projects that land in the Shanghai area and are shortlisted for the rematch, corresponding innovation policy support will be given, and the quota support of science and technology innovation vouchers will be provided, and the support amount shall not be higher than 30,<>;
4. Incubation resource support: For the finalist projects, we will provide business incubation support such as investment and financing, entrepreneurial counseling, industrial customers, market verification, and large enterprise docking.
(5) Issuance of project awards
1. Reward distribution of award-winning projects of the maker team
After the maker team wins the award, the organizing committee of the competition conducts online/offline due diligence to verify the qualification of the project/participant, the authenticity of the participation information, and the relevant intellectual property information and electronic certification materials.
2. Reward distribution for start-ups
After the project wins the award, the organizing committee of the competition goes to the project office to conduct offline due diligence, check the actual operation status of the company, verify the authenticity of the registration information, pass the offline due diligence, and issue the winning project rewards.
*The Organizing Committee will pay personal income tax for the winners, and the amount received by the winners after paying the individual income tax may be less than the amount shown.
4.Other matters
1. The contest does not charge any fees for participants.
2. The materials of the participating projects will be open to the organizing committee, review experts and other relevant institutions or personnel.
