Successful Showcase Event held at Hong Kong Science Park
n offline event was held yesterday in Hong Kong Science Park to promote the 2023 Shanghai International Maker Competition and attract more tech startups from Hong Kong to participate. More than 10 teams from local tech incubatees attended the showcase.
Fan Zhenjun, President of Shanghai Hulong Technology International, who is the coordinator of the competition, introduced the event and invited attendees to take part in 2023 ShanghaiMakers. The startup founders actively engaged in discussion and expressed strong interest in entrepreneurial opportunities and market potential in Shanghai. Projects presented covered integrated circuits, artificial intelligence hardware and technical services.
In circuits, projects included semiconductor equipment and smart sensors. AI hardware projects focused on assistive devices. Services platforms emphasized chip design education for youth. Attendees and organizers engaged in substantive exchanges on Shanghai's funding policy, attracting resources, and avenues for market penetration and industry partnerships.
During nearly two hours, the event provided valuable networking and insights for both sides. It is hoped this showcase will recruit more Hong Kong innovators for the competition and reinforce cross-border collaboration between Shanghai and Hong Kong's tech sectors.
Introduction
The Hong Kong Science Park (HKSTP; Chinese: 香港科學園) is a science park in Pak Shek Kok, New Territories, Hong Kong. It sits on the Tolo Harbour waterfront, near the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
